We cover all subjects required by the FAA Airman Certification Standards, including aerodynamics, weather, navigation, flight instruments, regulations, performance, and more. See our “courses” page to learn about what classes are being offered this week.

How often do classes meet?
Classes are held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 7–9 PM. Students can attend in person at the SkyService FBO in Helena or online via Zoom.

How do I enroll?
Enrollment is easy! Visit our website at glaciergroundschool.com to view the class schedule and purchase your course ticket under the courses page. Once paid, you will receive a downloadable ticket.

Do I need prior experience?
No prior flight experience is required. Our instructors start with the fundamentals and guide you through each concept step-by-step.

Can I join the class after it has already started?
Yes! Our curriculum rotates, so you can start at any time and complete the full cycle of topics. You’re welcome to join as many classes as you’d like. Have a flight review coming up? Feel free to attend specific sessions to brush up on the areas you want to review.
